In this article we use various drawing mediums (including colored pencil, permanent marker, charcoal, pastels, crayons, paint pens, etc) to explore mark making with both hands on a single sheet of paper that ultimately gets cut into Artist Trading Cards (ATCs). This technique is also an excellent warm-up exercise to practice before drawing or painting!

Some of the things you will learn from this workshop include:
minimum weight paper to use for making ATCs;
how to make the most of a 9x12 inch sheet of paper to fit 9 ATCs and 3 bookmarks;
introducing different drawing media and considerations for which to use first and what to follow;
mark making shape ideas;
the fun of using your non-dominant hand for drawing;
cutting out the ATCs;
how to add small collage elements to individual ATCs;
how to finish the edges of the ATCs with a paint pen;
and more…
