In this article I introduce several types of Asian paint brushes and discuss how watercolor and Chinese paint colors differ, even though they appear to be the same!
Then, we paint persimmon warm-up exercises with black Sumi-e ink and Asian brushes on Xuan (rice) paper before moving on to painting persimmons with Chinese paint colors on both rice paper and watercolor paper.
